Hi, I'm Kendra

Life is not easy, but it doesn’t have to be hard. As a Professional Certified Life and Weight Coach I teach women how to free themselves from the internal stories that keep them from living the life they dreamed of. The cognitive based tools I teach, are the same ones that freed me from self-defeating thoughts and belief systems, so that I could manage my emotions, create routines, and improve my relationships.

Time or Love?

If you are a surgery wife there is a good chance you have heard someone say that their husband chose a non-surgical speciality because he “loved his family too much to be away from them so much”.

The implication is that time equals love.

It is false.

Time is Time.

Love is Love.

Her husband’s job, and your husband’s job, is not a measure of his love for his family.

It never has been, and never will be.

How do I know?

I was once married to a man that I had a lot of time with.

He was there everyday when I came home from work.

Every evening.

Every weekend.

We had lot of time, but I didn’t feel love.

Now I am married to a man who regularly works 12 hour days, many evening and weekends.

We don’t have many hours together, sometimes it is only minutes, but we do have love.

Nobody can tell me that time is love.

I know better.

If you believe that time is love, you may find yourself feeling very unloved.

If I had to choose between time with my husband or love for my husband … I choose love.

Are you making your husbands career mean something that is causing you distress? We may need to talk.  Sign up for a free mini-session.
